A Sincere Tribute to My Guru – Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
This blog is a sincere tribute to my Guru on the occasion of the 350th year of his martyrdom.
History has witnessed dark times when tyranny sought to crush the soul of faith. In the 17th century, Aurangzeb ordered that Kashmiri Pandits abandon their belief and embrace Islam or face the sword. At that hour of despair,it was only my Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji,who rose to shield them.Under his divine shelter, they found the courage to resist, and through his sacrifice, India was saved from losing its very culture and faith.
Guru Ji chose not his comfort, not his throne, but his very life for the noble cause of protecting freedom of belief. His sacrifice was not for Hindus alone, not for Sikhs alone, but for humanity itself, for every soul’s right to worship freely.
At that time,Guru Gobind Singh Ji was just nine years old.Yet with a fearless spirit,he urged his father to go forward for the cause of truth. A child with the heart of a lion proving that courage is not bound by age but by the purity of conviction.
Auranga may have struck the blow, but history has already spoken. My Guru shines eternal as “Hind Di Chadar",the shield of India, while Auranga remains a soul drenched in tyranny, forever condemned by his own cruelty.
And yet,my Guru’s compassion lives within me.I can never harbour ill will towards any believer of Islam, for faith in all its forms deserves respect. But Auranga, for me,remains the embodiment of evil, a soul so corrupt that even hell would hesitate to accept him.Such souls, I believe, stay forever stranded in the abyss.
Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s sacrifice lit a flame that no emperor’s cruelty could extinguish. He ensured that India did not lose its cultural soul. His legacy tells me this: be fearless against oppression,be kind to all humanity and never bow before tyranny.
